Fair Use & Refunds

What happens when you hit a limit or want your money back.

Why it is hard to measure

This is the dimension providers least want you to read. "Unlimited" plans with a hidden daily cap, refunds that are technically impossible once an eSIM is installed, throttling that kicks in at a threshold nobody advertises — the gap between the sales page and the terms of service is where trust is won or lost.

What a good provider looks like

We extract the actual throttle thresholds, refund rules, and hidden caps from each provider’s terms and grade consumer-friendliness. Clear, honest, recoverable policies score high; buried caps and no-refund-ever clauses score low, however good the marketing looks.

How it feeds the score

Fair use and refunds carry a tenth of the score and act as an honesty check on the rest. A provider can have great speed and price, but if the fine print is hostile, this dimension pulls the grade back toward reality.

Measurement method

Throttle policies, refund rules, hidden caps. Higher score = consumer-friendlier.
