Pricing Value

How much you pay per gigabyte, fairly compared across plan structures.

Why it is hard to measure

Headline prices are designed to be hard to compare. One provider sells 1GB for seven days, another 3GB for thirty, a third only sells unlimited. Comparing the sticker prices tells you almost nothing about which is the better deal for your trip.

What a good provider looks like

We normalize everything to a cost-per-gigabyte basis across each provider’s plan tiers, then compare against the market median. A provider scores well not by being cheapest on one loss-leader plan, but by offering fair per-gigabyte value across the range of sizes travelers actually buy.

How it feeds the score

Pricing is the second-heaviest dimension at a fifth of the score. Value, not raw cheapness, is what we reward — a slightly pricier plan on a far faster network can represent better value than a cheap plan that barely works.

Measurement method
